Appalachian Arts Craft Center Chili Supper – November 10, 2019
The Appalachian Arts Craft Center is hosting a Chili Supper including traditional music by the Woodpickers and a silent auction from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, at the Norris Community Building. The cost is only $10.00 for homemade chili, cornbread, dessert, and drink or for $25 your meal will be served in a handcrafted pottery bowl you choose from a selection for you to keep. Handcrafted items, services, and more will be up for bid at a silent auction and there will be door prizes. For more information, call 865-494-9854.
Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Clinton – November 11, 2019
The 13th Annual Anderson County Veterans Day Parade is scheduled to start in Clinton at 6:00 pm on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. The parade will start on Market St. and move along Main St. in from of the Anderson County Courthouse. This year’s theme is “The Most Heartfelt Thank You for All Anderson County Veterans”.

Gobble Wobble Hike at Norris Dam State Park – November 29, 2019
Enjoy a Gobble Wobble Hike at Norris Dam State Park and work off that Thanksgiving meal! Join a park ranger on Friday, November 29th at 1:00 pm for a half mile guided hike to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp where a park ranger will do a program on the camp. Hikers are to meet at the Lenoir Museum parking lot. Remember to wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of turkey leftovers for the ranger! This is an easy and family friendly hike.
